For many years, I have been working on a research that highlights two salient elements of life: the network of communications needed to transmit information and the time required for this action to take place.
I have been trying to show the close connections between the plots, circuits, grids, structures and networks belonging to different environments, which are part of our existence and where we spend our time and our daily life.
Talking about circuits or networks, can refer for example to the complex structure of the lymphatic vessels of the leaves, or the tracks of the subway, or even the extremely complicated shape of a nerve cell. If observed closely all of these elements, apparently far apart, have a lot of affinities and similarities instead I take my subjects from the real world starting from anthropological illustration, botanical scenes, urban planning; but also by embroidery and drawings from wallpaper and tapestries that belong to a daily home life.
My research focuses on a metaphorical reflection on our human condition as part of a whole that tends to repeat certain laws of fractal growth, from which it is difficult to itself, but at the same time provide us with a sense of motion and fertility of the world.
The working method is always the same, I cut different materials using a scalpel sharp surgeon. The materials used range from sheets of tissue paper, to small or huge vegetable leaves, soaps, porcelain and other surfaces, including the plaster of the walls.
I spend hours dissecting these materials and the results are works that tell us in how many different and particular forms Nature can metamorphize, organize and extend its patterns.

Da molti anni lavoro a una ricerca che mette in evidenza due elementi salienti della vita: la rete di comunicazioni necessaria per trasmettere informazioni e il tempo richiesto per compiere questa azione.
Ho cercato di mostrare le strette connessioni tra i tracciati, i circuiti, le griglie, le strutture e le reti appartenenti a diversi ambienti, che fanno parte della nostra esistenza e in cui trascorriamo il nostro tempo e la nostra vita quotidiana.
Parlare di circuiti o reti può riferirsi, ad esempio, alla complessa struttura dei vasi linfatici delle foglie, ai binari della metropolitana o persino alla forma estremamente intricata di una cellula nervosa. Osservandoli da vicino, tutti questi elementi, apparentemente lontani, presentano invece numerose affinità e somiglianze. Io attingo i miei soggetti dal mondo reale, partendo da illustrazioni antropologiche, scene botaniche, urbanistica; ma anche da ricami e disegni di carte da parati e arazzi che appartengono alla vita domestica quotidiana.
La mia ricerca si concentra su una riflessione metaforica sulla nostra condizione umana come parte di un tutto che tende a ripetere certe leggi di crescita frattale, da cui è difficile sottrarsi, ma che allo stesso tempo ci fornisce un senso di movimento e fertilità del mondo.
Il metodo di lavoro è sempre lo stesso: ritaglio diversi materiali usando un bisturi affilato da chirurgo. I materiali utilizzati spaziano da fogli di carta velina a piccole o enormi foglie vegetali, saponi, porcellana e altre superfici, inclusa l'intonaco dei muri.
Passo ore a dissezionare questi materiali e i risultati sono opere che ci raccontano in quante forme diverse e particolari la Natura possa metamorfizzare, organizzare ed estendere i suoi pattern.
